KYOCERA C100 acid neutralisation equipment

The Kyocera neutralizer is suitable for treating water ranging from highly acidic solutions with a pH of 1 to alkaline solutions with a pH of up to 14. This includes water contaminated with the following ingredients: hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, hydrogen fluoride, nitric acid and perchloric acid (these are the best known very strong acids). These acids are used in a wide range of industrial applications, e.g:

  • in degreasing baths
  • in rinse water after degreasing
  • in pickling effluent
  • in iron phosphating or zinc phosphating (used for corrosion protection and as a base for painting components such as sheet metal)
  • chromium-free conversion/passivation and waste water treatment in rinse water during wet chemical pre-treatment, e.g. electroplating.

Kyocera’s standard neutralisation units, scalable neutralisation units or custom units are used in the pharmaceutical industry, laboratory technology, medical and hospital environments.

Other applications include the food industry, industrial kitchens, beverage plants, paper mills, dairies and slaughterhouses, where neutralisation systems are used to neutralise all acid and alkaline effluents directly at the source of discharge.

Other applications are in manufacturing processes where the pH value needs to be corrected within a process chain.

Our neutralisation units work according to a continuous neutralisation process: the pH of the wastewater is measured by a probe and automatically adjusted by adding acid or alkali. Wastewater that is too acidic is neutralised with, for example, a solution of caustic soda or potassium hydroxide. If the effluent is alkaline, acid, such as sulphuric acid, is added. The result is a neutral pH value.
